I fund my yarn addiction and botanic garden explorations by being a postdoctoral research fellow with the UNESCO Chair on Sustainable Heritage and Environmental Management at University of Bergen. I am interested in how people create meaning and attachment to the landscapes where we live. I use transdisciplinary approaches to explore how we learn and how we can use different forms of knowledge, concepts and modes of coming together to collaborate in sustainable landscape management. Below, I have collected some texts about my research. A list of my scientific publications can be found HERE.
Nordhordland Biosfære
Since March 2022, I’m a postdoc in Bergen, Norway. In my project, I collaborate with the Nordhordland UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Together, we use transdisciplinary approaches to explore how to manage landscapes under pressure more sustainably.
The Helge å catchment
My PhD research (2017-2021) focused on the Helge å catchment in southern Sweden. In it, I explored how to operationalize the ecosystem service concept for sustainability in landscapes and I trialed some methods for applying resilience thinking through knowledge co-production.
Research in other places & contexts
I have also been involved in smaller projects and other research throughout the years. This includes research I did about livelihoods and ecosystem services in Burkina Faso and Ghana during my master’s and for a while after (2014-2016).
