One of the things I have made with all the woven ribbon, was a camera strap for Natalia.
She didn’t know I was going to give it to her, so she didn’t bring her camera. However, my dad had found a stash of my grandpa’s old cameras that he wanted to get rid of. I had saved this weird-looking Minolta and was going to give it to Daniel when I passed through Oslo on my way back to Bergen later – and so, Natalia posed with the Minolta, displaying this little piece of (very obviously) handmade camera bling (my god is stitching in leather difficult!).
… and Natalia was styled in this gorgeous matching yellow-and-pink jumper (a custom-made Katja, of course).
Dagmar also photographs. I made her this camera strap, hand-woven, hand-stitched. And it is worth repeating: Leather is so hard to stitch!
