I have many reasons for not wanting to get paid for my knitwear. One is that I’m incapable of completing a project within a reasonable timeframe. That’s why I kind of prefer gifts being surprises – the recipient has no idea how many unravelings and breaks to start other projects went into finishing their piece.
That was not the case with these mittens, unfortunately. In the middle of summer 2022, Julien and Karolina got married. I promised them a matching pair of mittens as a wedding gift. More than a year later, they were finally done!
I love making things for friends. I just don’t like deadlines.
