I made Hanna a jumper with Icelandic horses using yarn from Hillesvåg ullvarefabrikk, in really warm Norwegian wool. I gave it to her when she came to visit me in Bergen in April 2023. We enjoyed the sun at the botanic garden, her in the new jumper, me behind the camera.
Later, on a beautiful January day, I went to Hanna’s and played with her son Alvar in the snow. Both of them wearing my designs: Hanna in the Icelandic horse jumper; and Alvar, in the soft alpaca jumper that ended up being kind of like a dress – children are a challenge to knit for! Impossible to judge size!
