THE OFFICE PONCHO

Finishing date: February 2020. Styling and photographed by Natalia Salazar in September 2020.

I made it during the winter 2019-20, with the idea of having it at work. My office was in an old building where heating in the winter is very uneven. Some rooms were warm enough to only wear a T-shirt in, while others almost required double wool jumpers. With the activity based workspace we had, planning office outfits in the morning was be really difficult because I never knew where I’d end up. So I thought, a wool poncho is a good option, it’s easy to take on and off and will fit over whatever I happen to wear that day. Yey! I finished it in the end of February. And then the pandemic came. No more need for an office poncho, because I never went to the office.

I’ve been wearing it a lot at home, though. And around Bagarmossen. I think it’s actually become one of my favorite pieces that I’ve made for myself. So. At least this thing worked out nicely, despite the world being turned upside down.

The styling and photographs were done together with the wonderful Natalia Salazar, as always.
