A sunny day in the beginning of June 2022, during one of my brief visits to Stockholm that summer, I met up with Natalia and we went to Vitan, a park on a hill in the southern part of the inner city. We sat next to the linden tree that my grandmothers had planted for me as a gift when I was born, much taller than me now, and drank rosé wine from deciliter cups. Later, we had dinner with our mothers and then went to see an amazing circus performance by Cirkus Cirkör called “Knitting peace”. It was a wonderful day.
I was wearing my sailor striped jumper with buttons from my grandma Lilian’s old button collection. It is made from a linen-cotton blend and turned out to be a great piece for our not-always-so-warm Nordic summer days.
